What started as a tricycle pulling a cart containing a huge pot of beef pho with all the fixings back in the late 1940s, has now transpired into three brick and mortar restaurants in three different countries. Mr. Minh Tran (our grandfather) started Pho Minh in 1947 as a "mobile pho stand". When he had saved enough money to purchase a building in 1950, Pho Minh Saigon was born. Pho Minh Saigon was our family restaurant where our aunts, uncles, and parents all worked at for seventy plus years. In 2018, a Japanese businessman traveled throughout Vietnam and trying different tastes of pho. He fell in love with the flavors of Pho Minh Saigon. He came back and requested to franchise Pho Minh in Tokyo, Japan. In 2019, Pho Minh Tokyo was born. It took many years for us (the grandchildren) to gather all the necessary pieces to bring our family legacy to the United States. We are extremely proud that Pho Minh USA will open its door to serve everyone starting in May of 2022. Our goal is to remain simple and stay true to our story. One recipe. One vision. One legacy.
